DrunkenNES

DrunkenNES
Original software & hardware peripheral for the NES console.
Game written in 6502 assembly and peripheral firmware written in AVR assembly.

Born out of a joke after a few drinks with friends - DrunkenNES is a breathalyzer cartridge/peripheral for use with an NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) console.
Built a circuit using an alcohol sensor and an ATTINY13 with a custom serial interface written for both the NES and AVR. The NES powers the peripheral, which plugs into controller port 2. Blow into the cart when prompted to get your score. Top ten list with initials backed by SRAM.
Full use of the MMC1 mapper (bankswitching CHR/PRG).
